During a 2-night, 3-day program, children in grades 4 to 6 from Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, will spend time away from home alongside children of similar ages with roots in foreign countries. Supervised by students from Shizuoka Prefectural University, with approximately one university student assigned to each child, the camp aims to foster mutual respect for cultural differences while cherishing the autonomy of the children. Additionally, to ensure flexibility in communication, multiple interpreters and student volunteers with foreign roots will be present. The staff is dedicated to creating "a camp of lifelong memories" with the Little World Camp.

 

Date: August 15th to 17th, 2024

Location: Momosawa Outdoor Activity Center, 895-108 Moto Nagakubo, Suruga-ku, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture

Target Audience: Elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 living in Shizuoka Prefecture

Participation Fee: ¥4,000
